Graceful Glance With Katherine!

I am so excited I am going to start a strand of interviews called Graceful Glance! So we can glance into the lives of some of my favorite people with y’all!! So here we go the first Graceful Glance into Katherine’s life and style!

So this past Sunday I was so blessed to actually be home and get to go to my home church! (Silverado Cowboy Church/ Weatherford, TX) I absolutely love it there and I love all the people, we are like this big family!! I have noticed a certain special someone the past few times though up on stage with the worship team. My heart truly sores to get to see one of my friends daughter’s up on stage rocking out with her bass guitar. She is seriously awesome, I am so proud of her and her boldness to get up on stage and join them. This Sunday though after they finished up she went to walk off stage and bam! Here is this awesome outfit (posted below) that she is rocking! I really love her style and uniqueness! So this week I decided to feature her on my blog!!! Of course when I asked I had my fingers crossed she would say yes because I wanted to share her awesomeness with all of you!!!  So with all that said ladies and gentlemen I would like to introduce y’all to Katherine!
She is a sweet and beautiful 9th grader who attends my awesome church! Katherine plays the Bass Guitar in our praise and worship team. She says that being up on stage with them is very good learning experience for her! One of her favorite worship songs to listen to is My Lighthouse by Rend Collective. I really like Katherine’s spunky style and have asked her a few questions about it. So here we go….

H: How would your describe your style?
K: Always changing; always growing.

H: When picking an outfit what’s your inspiration?
(I love her answer to this question!)
K: Marie from the Aristocats.

(I so love this answer haha if you are a lover of fashion y’all defiantly know that fashionistas and designers get their inspiration from anywhere! From old movies, from an old hotel or just anything. They are artists and let their surroundings be their inspiration! Kind of cool I have to say that she sent this to me as her inspiration! Go Katherine!)

H: Ok Katherine, you woke up late and have 30 mins before you have to leave? Quick what do you do?? (Hair, makeup, outfit)
K: Foundation + mascara. Brush and straighten hair. Jeans + t-shirt and converse.

(Gotta Love A Girl Who Wears Converses!)

H: Ok, last question, what is your favorite scripture?
K: Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. (Luke 10:3 KJV)

Thank you so much Katherine for letting me feature you on tonight’s blog post! You are truly a remarkable young lady with such an amazing path ahead of you! You have got some big things ahead of you I know and you will conquer them all with Grace & Style I know for sure! Thank you to all my fans as well for tuning into my first Graceful Glance Interview!!!

Faith Comes By….

This past Sunday I was so honored to do a church service in Waco, TX at the USTRC Regionals. The message God laid on my heart to share was about Faith! I talk a lot about faith when I speak, in a way we all talk about faith a lot. We will say just keep the faith or have faith you will get through this or that. Faith is what keeps most of us going, but to some they hear this word but yet they do not know how to get faith. Sometimes we may even forget from time to time how to put our full trust and faith in Him! In Romans 10:17 it simply says “So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God”. So here is an example of a man who had faith to be healed. In Acts 14:7-10

“And they were preaching the gospel there. And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked. This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had the faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet.” And he leaped and walked”

Wow is all I have to say! So take this in some people may say Paul healed the man. But that isn’t correct the man’s faith healed him, because he heard the gospel! (Faith comes by hearing!)
So Paul did 3 things
1. Preached the gospel
2. He saw the man that had faith to be healed
3. He told the man to rise up and walk.
In return the man did 3 things
1. Heard Paul preach the gospel
2. He had the faith to be healed
3. He leaped up and walked

I wanted to share this with you because whatever it is that you are needing faith for today you need to know how to get it. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. We need to be digging into His word and spending time with Him. I was so blessed to be around an amazing man of Faith! My dad! Watching him as I grew up and the faith he had from digging into the word has helped build my faith. I now know that My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:19) I know He will because I know His promises! We gotta dig in and start hanging out with Him. The more we do the more He will rub off on us! So we won’t have to stop and think what would Jesus do we will act more like Him. Because we have spent the time with Him and we will the faith and 100% trust in Him and His word. I know there are many people around me struggling in areas personally. Just know I am praying for all of you! I wanted to give you a small reminder today of how to help get and keep that faith! I want to you to be prosper in all you do and all your relationships! I want to encourage you today not to give up you can do this! God’s got your back! Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.”  So rock what you got with some grace and style!!!

Summer Lovin’

Oh what a summer it has been! It has been a beautiful amazing busy summer! I can hardly believe it is August already! What? Really? YES! At least the bonus part about it being August is yes it is my birthday month! This year I turn the big 3-0 but possibly contemplating the 29 again haha! Just kidding! Age is just a number I have always said that so I am deciding to hit it straight on! I defiantly don’t feel almost 30 and people never think I am this old so my awesome Cherokee Blood is shining through! Hehe! Anyway enough about my birthday we still have 19 more days to talk about it! This summer my amazing nieces came to visit! In June my oldest niece Stephanie and her twin sisters Becca and Jodie came to visit! The girls would go to concerts and church services with us and would have just a blast. We had a lot of late nights of playing my favorite game Pass The Pigs! One night one of the twins decided she was going to pray for a good roll and it worked! So needless to say the other one decided to do it too. So this went on a little while and then Becca was praying for a certain number to roll and low and behold she rolled it! So I took the opportunity to talk to them about praying and salvation. Which in turn led to them asking the Lord into their hearts that night. Stephanie had already done it when she was younger and I also got to be there the day she did it as well and not to mention Megan their sister also did to when she was younger. It filled my heart with overflowing joy to get to help them with the salvation prayer and watch God work in their sweet little lives. We began to pray every night before they left. The twins ended up staying the whole month of June! I was one happy, happy Auntie for sure! Then Magen came to visit us in July for 2 weeks! It was such an amazing time and also to get to realize how big she is actually getting! In December she will be 16! Nooooo lol the time has gone by to quickly! So she and I soaked it all in for sure!!! God has been so good a faithful to us (me and Nannie aka Momma Jo) this summer! There have been some times where we have had to look at each other and said God has got this, this summer. He has always come through for us and always has our back! I am also so so so excited to announce as well that Momma Jo was just nominated in the top 10 for the Inspirational Country Music Awards Female Vocalist Of The Year! We just found out last week! She is absolutely so humbled that her peers (other Artists) and DJs playing her music would nominate her! So that is about it in a nut shell for the summer! We have done lots and loved lots and made a ton of memories! Which are so important! Always know God first! Family second! Then your jobs! Don’t forget to take a timeout for yourself and your family! Always take tons of pictures to help remember those special memories so you can remember when and pass along the stories through the generations! Below are some of mine from this summer!! Remember to live with Grace and Style!
