She also combines this with a big heart, just the little time I have known her we have form a fun new friendship I am grateful for! So let’s dive into her fun interview!

H: What are you looking forward to at this year’s Wrangler NFR?
D: I’m looking forward to hanging out with some other bloggers and a photo shoot you and I are hoping to get done! I’m also looking forward to the Ball hosted by Cowboys and Indians and The Bleacher Babe! Spending time with Matt and his family, shopping {lot’s of shopping}, seeing the show “O” and visiting the Neon Sign Museum.

image4

H: What trends are you looking forward to seeing this year?
D:  Fur, lot’s of fur! I can’t wait to see the colors and designs ladies will be rocking!

H: What is a must see or do in Las Vegas?
D: haven’t been yet, I’m going this year but I think the “O” show is a must! Everyone says it’s unbelievable! I also think touring each hotel and just looking at how unique and beautiful each one is, is a must! A lot have floral shows you can visit inside and they also have beautiful murals! Oh and if you’re a kid at heart like me, you should got ride the roller coaster at New York New York because it’s a neat experience and cheap!

H: What is a must have for first timers in Vegas?
D:
Hats! You definitely need a cute hat or two! It’s hard to travel with hats but if you bring at least one, you can rock it multiple times! I’d also say statement jewelry and belts! You can dress anything up with jewelry and a belt!

H: What is 1 piece of style advice for Vegas?
D: Bring comfy shoes! I have some boots that are comfy but I can promise you will want comfy sneakers for all the walking you’ll be doing and thankfully Justin and Twisted X have blessed our feet this year by launching the “western sneaker”

image3
H: What is your favorite place to eat?
D: At any buffet! My first year in Vegas I made the mistake spending a ton of money each night booking fancy dinners and as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized you get more food at buffets and they are delicious! I would recommend splurging a little in going to at least one nice restaurant.

I would recommend that too! I love so many fun places Craft Steakhouse at the MGM fyi is one of my favorites! Thank you girlie for joining us on today’s Countdown!
We will be posting double features for the next few days readers so be on the look out for another fun lady today! If you love Denae’s style you can I will post her Social Media accounts below!

Countdown to Vegas- Bayou Boho Babe

3rd Annual Countdown 2 Vegas- 4 Days
Featuring The Bayou Boho Babe

Kailye Smith

unnamed

Let’s here what this fun fashionista has to say!

H: What are you looking forward to at this year’s Wrangler NFR?
K: The western industry’s largest fashion event ever, of course. I am looking forward to meeting some of the most influential icons in western fashion, checking out this years fashion trends, and coming home with more items than I left with. Oh, and the rodeo

 😜.

H: What trends are you looking forward to seeing this year?
K:
Fringe and sequins. I believe this will be a huge year for more fringe and sequins than ever, and I can’t wait. I also love vintage, so you’ll find me trending some of my vintage finds throughout the
week.

H: What is a must see or do in Las Vegas?
K: Don’t miss out on Cowboy Christmas, Fremont Street (because I’m old school), the shops at The Sands where you’ll find the Ritzy Gypsy Booth (Booth 644), and stop by the WNFR Go Round Buckle Presentations at the South Point for Cody Johnson (Its worth the late night, I promise).

H: What is a must have for first timers in Vegas?
K: Comfortable shoes, I learned the hard way. Do yourself the favor. I know that normally you don’t bring “comfortable and casual” to Vegas, but you can thank me later.

unnamed (1)
H: What is 1 piece of style advice for Vegas?
K: Dress 5x more exciting than your greatest night out back home. Wear those boots you never get to wear back home, the hats you bought for that one photo and never wore again, and accessorize until you weigh 5 lbs more 😉 .

H: What is your favorite place to eat?
K: For a nice dinner and the best view of the strip (If, and only if, you are not afraid of heights) – Top of the World Restaurant located in the Stratosphere Hotel. Beer Park at the Pairs Hotel for some of the best burgers on the strip.

Kailye thank you so much for being a part of this year’s countdown! You are completely amazing I just adore your style! I also love your style advice haha!  If y’all want to keep up with Kailye and her journey follow her account listed below. Only 4 more days y’all eeek!!!

Countdown 2 Vegas- Alexis Bloomer

3rd Annual Countdown 2 Vegas- 6 Days
Featuring The Lady That Can Do Anything
Alexis Bloomer

alexis2

First, off if you do not know this amazing lady you will want to! She is not only CEO of Breaking Records Media, she is an author, journalist, obviously a gorgeous model, an amazing role model, creator of the #GoodGirlMovenment. Well she’s just stellar and can do anything she puts her mind too! I am so grateful we became friends over promoting kindness and trying to help others become who they are meant to be by being themselves! Check out her advice and favorite places!

H: What are you looking forward to at this year’s Wrangler NFR?
A: I am so excited because my book, Good Girl, Bad World is launching at the WNFR! This is always the most exciting time of the year because 1) I get to watch Sage compete and I know how hard he has worked throughout the year 2) I love getting to see all my friends are be ‘neighbors’ with them for a week and lastly, I love the fashion and the glam of Las Vegas!

H: What trends are you looking forward to seeing this year?
A: Personally, I love that the styles are becoming classic and elegant again. I feel like we have seen a shift in fashion over the past few months and I’m hoping to see a lot of velvet, satin and feathers. I feel like timeless pieces always make the biggest statement.

H: What is a must see or do in Las Vegas?
A: The Fountains at Bellagio are so iconic to me, I love hearing the water flow to the beat of the music. Also, my favorite mall is in Vegas, Cesar’s Palace Forum Shops, they are so upscale and fun. Even if you don’t shop, the architecture is amazing. Most importantly, the rodeo! That’s why we’re all in Vegas, so take the time to celebrate our Western Heritage at the Thomas and Mack!

H: What is a must have for first timers in Vegas?
A:
I’m in Vegas for over 15 days during the WNFR and I have some necessities: Zostrix Foot Cream (It is a miracle cream that takes away all foot pain), Water (sounds crazy but with the busy days, it is easy to get dehydrated) and a humidifier for your hotel room (Sage swears by this and it has been a live saver every year, a worthy investment).

alexis

H: What is 1 piece of style advice for Vegas?
A: Just be yourself. You don’t have to wear things that are in style, it’s important to embrace being one of a kind. Vegas celebrates uniqueness, so don’t try to blend in. This is the one time of the year when you’re allowed to be authentic and your authenticity will be celebrated.

I love when women have the courage to not follow the trends and instead they wear what they feel most confident in—that is what fashion is all about.

H: What is your favorite place to eat?
A: I love MGM room service breakfast (it is honestly the best breakfast I’ve ever had, no judgement please), but I also love Carmine’s in the Forum Shops and Wolfgang Puck at the MGM Grand.

Alexis I can not thank you enough for taking the time out of your busy schedule to be a part! If y’all have not heard yet she will be signing and releasing her newest book God Girl, Bad World. Check out her social media accounts posted below to see where she will be. 7 days until we here that sweet National Anthem and watch the first horse buck!

Andrea

Let’s Get To Know Andrea A Little Better…

23030892_10155767092036763_1070264936_o

H: What are you looking forward to at this year’s Wrangler NFR?
A: I’m really looking forward to meeting my blogging and business friends! Last year was my first NFR as a western fashion blogger, and being brand new to the industry, I felt shy. After an amazing year of new friendships, collaborations and partnerships, I am SO excited to meet the awesome people in the industry who are all coming together to enjoy our passion for rodeo in one place – Vegas, baby!

H:  What trends are you looking forward to seeing this year?
A: My favorite styles are always a mix between high end, designer pieces and vintage, thrift store finds. I feel like so many girls have embraced this style full throttle this year, and I’m looking forward to seeing the creativity that comes from mixing those one-of-a-kind finds together. Also, since we’re into the colder months, I’ll be looking for the luxe details that come with holiday fashion – fur, embroidery, rich colors and fabrics. I’m all about looks that are over-the-top, one-of-a-kind and classic to boot.
22491749_10155723382511763_3623985202160230591_n
H: What is a must see or do in Las Vegas?
A: Hands down, my favorite event of the week is the Hooey party! It’s the best kept secret on the strip. If you want incredible country music and a big dance floor in an iconic location at the Brooklyn Bowl, make sure you get on the list ahead of time. There’s even a bowling alley if you just want to hang out and listen to the music!
H: What is a must have for first timers in Vegas?
A: This might be a little practical, but get a ticket for the monorail as soon as you get there. It’s 30-some dollars for a four day pass – you’ll save so much money on cab fees, plus you can get from MGM all the way to the convention center in a matter of minutes. It was such a time and money saver, and you can get on from multiple places on the strip. Bonus perk: you can wear your cute shoes without killing your feet walking from one hotel to another.
H: What is 1 piece of style advice for Vegas?
A:  Pack classic pieces. You’ve only got so much room in your bag (unfortunately) so make use of it by packing things that work with multiple outfits. Pick stand out pieces that work with a rockin’ pair of jeans, palazzo pants, a leather jacket or classic turquoise.
H: What is your favorite place to eat?

A: Sushi Kaya, hands down! If you’re like me and love a good sushi roll, you won’t mind the cab ride off the strip for this awesome all-you-can-eat sushi joint. It’s an intimate, family setting, reasonably priced and tons of fun. They serve everything in half rolls so you can try the whole menu, not to mention your dessert is included!

Andrea thank you girl so much for joining us with some fun advice, I might need to try that sushi place! Yum! You are so amazing and readers if you are not following her you really need too! This girl has some amazing heart and a pretty fly style! I will post her social media handles below! You will not regret following her this beautiful lady is going places!! Countdown 2 Vegas- Katherine Merck

3rd Annual Countdown 2 Vegas- 8 Days
Featuring Fashionista
Katherine Merck

Let’s Get To Know Katherine Miss Rodeo America 2016 A Little Better…

IMG_4077
I had these amazing honor to get to meet Katherine and this year’s MRA Lisa last year at one of their autograph sessions during the NFR. Since then Katherine and I have become friends along with me swooning over her amazing hat collection. Y’all really need to check it out its ahh-mazing! Katherine is one kind and kindred soul read more on her tips and advice for Vegas!

H: What are you looking forward to at this year’s Wrangler NFR?
K: The last two years have been amazing, over the top experiences – from winning Miss Rodeo America to my final ride around the Thomas and Mack, the Wrangler NFR will always be a place where dreams come true for me. This year, I am volunteering throughout the Miss Rodeo America Pageant and the WNFR, so I am looking forward to serving in a supportive role this year and helping others’ dreams come true, too!

H: What trends are you looking forward to seeing this year?
K: I love that wild rags have caught on to such a huge extent this year! I was definitely pushing the envelope when I started wearing wild rags right after I was crowned Miss Rodeo America last year because the way I wore them wasn’t something that had been done before in rodeo queen fashion. I was lucky to have incredibly supportive people surrounding me that signature wild rag look, which allowed me to actually release my own line of wild rags last year. It is amazing to see the extent that they have now caught on both for rodeo queens and western fashion influencers!

I’m also thrilled with the fact that colored hats are back – rodeo queens were wearing a few colored hats when I was crowned, but I took it and ran with it! I wore everything from purple to red on a regular basis last year, and Greeley Hat Works made all of my fun and wild visions come to life. We’ve continued creating hats together this year, so I’m excited to see rodeo queens continue down the colored hat road and to bring some fabulous fashion hats to Vegas this year!

IMG_0583

H: What is a must see or do in Las Vegas?
K: I absolutely think that the Miss Rodeo America Pageant is a must-see! If you are in Vegas before the rodeo starts for the PRCA Convention, stop over to the Priefert Arena in the South Point on Monday, December 4 at 10am for Horsemanship. Looking for something fun to do during the day before the rodeo? Join us on Friday, December 8 for the Fashion Show Luncheon at 11:30am – it is an absolute must-see for rodeo fashionistas, featuring brands including Double D Ranch, Greeley Hat Works, and of course, Wrangler!

IMG_9760

H: What is a must have for first timers in Vegas?
K: Comfortable shoes! I think that everyone underestimates how much walking they will do before their first trip to Vegas for the WNFR. I like to put heel cushions in my boots and gel inserts in my heels!

H: What is 1 piece of style advice for Vegas?
K: Bring pieces that you can wear with multiple outfits – if it were up to me, I’d bring my entire wardrobe, but there definitely isn’t room for that in my luggage! Statement pieces and personal favorite accessory, Greeley Hat Works hats, can really change up a look and are versatile across multiple outfits. As long as you feel fabulous in what you wear, you can’t go wrong!

H: What is your favorite place to eat?
K: One of my favorite places to eat in the whole world, not just Vegas, is Wing Lei in the Wynn. It’s upscale Chinese cuisine –  the Fried Prawns with Candied Walnuts and Green Tea Mochi Ice Cream are definitely worth the binge to your bank account and diet!

3rd Annual Countdown 2 Vegas- Sierra

3rd Annual Countdown 2 Vegas- 9 Days
Featuring Fashionista
Sierra Rae

Let’s Get To Know Sierra A Little Better…

IMG_7171

H: What are you looking forward to at this year’s Wrangler NFR?
S: Well this is my first year going to the Finals as a BLEACHER BABE SQUAD MEMBER!!!! So I am extremely excited to make booth appearances and attend a few events!! I am also ecstatic to wear all the gorgeous clothes & accessories I have been sent from different boutiques and brands for sponsorships and influencing. I even have a few custom surprises coming with new collabs!! Of course I have a few personal items I have picked up on my own…. and a killer jacket my fabulous mom bought me that I’m excited to crack out! Last year I was offered the bleacher babe squad position the night I was packing to go to Las Vegas and announced the next day as a 2017 member as I was sitting in class…I’ll never forget it. It was extra special because last year was the first time I had been back to the finals since my dad’s last NFR appearance in 2003 or 2004, so going back and having people be a fan of my work is so cool, and so bitter sweet because for my whole childhood,  I have nothing but amazing memories of those 10 days being the biggest part of my dad’s work and his career….and now I have my own stuff going on there too!!! Crazy!!!!

IMG_8555

H: What trends are you looking forward to seeing this year?
S: I think that western fashion has swung back to the basics of what it truly is. Hats, leather, fur, Conchos, and WILD RAGS! You know 5 years ago it was bling everywhere and bling everything from bangles to headbands…and I was into it too…but we’re past that. We are back appreciating the Native American jewelry, turquoise, buckles, sterling silver…the real stuff. With Warbonnets I think really bringing back the custom hat, the real western feel, it’s a good time. Bell bottoms, western prints but smaller and more under stated like bucking horses and maybe a saying but smaller, more organic original stuff, simple but still gorgeous. I actually have to bring up my mom again because I will be wearing a few things that were part of her NFR wardrobe but I’ve had them revamped a little! I also did that at Cheyenne this year!!! We’re in a stage of vintage western glam…very 60’s I think…that’s at least where I get a lot of inspiration.

H: What is a must see or do in Las Vegas?
S: Honestly Vegas in general is something to see. As a little girl being there every year when my Dad was going of course it’s work for us so we have fun but you definitely don’t do any shows etc…Dad’s doing autographs and then we’re at the rodeo every night, so I’ve never even experienced that part of Vegas. Mom was a part of the fashion show a few times, we went to where our friends might be staying and hang out at that hotel one day. So seeing the different hotels decorated and just making my way around Vegas is a must see or do for me. Because that’s what I have memories of.  I love the Mandalay Bay, I think everyone should see the Venetian, BIG shopping there, the Wynn is a new one but I went last year and it’s drop dead gorgeous, also the Bellagio and the fountains! And between us I have been obsessed with the M&M factory since I was brought there as a toddler….I think we went every year just because I begged. Hahha I do not think I have time this year but I’d LOVE to! I did not get to go last year either 😦

IMG_8549

H: What is a must have for first timers in Vegas?
S: You need snacks and water! This is adult advice from going last year….you are so busy running around seeing and watching everything you don’t eat like you should and Vegas is not the place to get run down! Plus bring vitamins and emergency because I promise for some reason the rodeo crowd from the team roping to the Finals…and everybody in between passes around a Vegas cold…last year one of the only things that got me through the day and the final perf was the medicine ball from Starbucks…real talk!

IMG_8333

H: What is 1 piece of style advice for Vegas?
S: Be you. Don’t be me. Don’t be Hannah, don’t be The Bleacher Babe, don’t be West Desperado, don’t be Western Couture, don’t be Stylish Tryan, BE YOU! We love you and we wouldn’t be the bloggers we are without you but we’d much rather see what you take from of us then you feeling like you HAVE to dress like us. You don’t. You pick out what you want! If you aren’t comfortable in it don’t wear it! If your the only one wearing it then props to you! You’re original!

H: What is your favorite place to eat?
S: Oh goodness I don’t know..like I said you sometimes forget to even eat in Vegas! Let’s see I love seafood so I’m pretty much down with wherever a girl can get some shrimp!!!! I’d love to eat at NOBU a sushi restaurant that’s also in Malibu (it’s a big celebrity fave) so I would just like to say I’ve eaten there! I also have ALWAYS wanted to have desert at The Sugar Factory!!!! These are all newer places…..when I was little I couldn’t tell you what the steakhouse were called..we ate at a lot of hotel cafes which are always good…I can tell you though if we had a bad round…you could find a pile of us at a little pancake house downtown somewhere …hahaha cowboy secrets 😉

Sierra you are just so amazing girl, I have totally enjoyed watching you grow this year you are one bright and shining star! I can not wait to see all your perfect outfits in Vegas this year. I also can not wait to see you! If you wanna keep up with Sierra head over and give her a follow. Here is her Social Media Handles!

She Is Strong- LiveWire

Logo1WaterMark

I am so beyond honored to get to have this amazing beautiful lady be a part of the She Is Strong interview series. Every once in a while you get so blessed to meet someone on a path to greatness and full of so much passion and drive. It only spurs you on to want to be better as well. Megan Holdren is just that to me, she is absolutely amazing and the way her creativity juices flow its nothing short of astounding to me.  Let’s dig into this fun interview so ya’ll can see just how amazing this Western Couture Fashion Designer is and how you can rent or own your own piece of LW!

megan
H: Megan when did you first notice your passion for fashion?
M: This is a hard question to answer. I didn’t realize that it was a passion, I just thought it was the way everyone thought of things! I remember being a little girl, 4 or 5 maybe, and thinking about how I would change the bows on my Easter dress to make it prettier. Easter and Christmas were my all time favorite events, not because I was so excited about our savior and all the things that He did for us on those two particular dates (no judgment there) but because those were the times that Grandma Betsy would buy us all dresses. And they were dresses now! Beautiful and full. After, we got older I could see I took the excitement of getting dressed up and the dresses to a whole new level.

(Oh wow that is just so fun! How a simple sweet gesture from your Grandma turned into a life of passion.)

H: What was your first piece to design?
M: I dabbled in tees a long while before I designed my first complete design. It was for Sara Wiens, now Swor,  for the Miss Rodeo America pageant. It was the first year that the pageant did a  fashion forward fashion show. Sara asked me to do her dress, I don’t really remember how it came about, her asking me, but that’s my very first dress I ever designed. It was terrible and also great at the same time. I surprise myself what I could do, but there is also a big learning curve and I’ve come along way since that first dress.

(From the LiveWire Collection)

H: When did you decide to take a leap of faith and go for your dream?
M:  It came after I “retired” from corporate at the ripe old age of 28. Our first child was 8 months old when we decided it was time for the change. I always knew I would be a store owner some day, it was never a question really, but I had no idea design would be where my heart was.

H: How did you get your name Live Wire?
M: Happenstance. My best friend from High School, her dad would always call me a LiveWire growing up. I’m not sure he meant it in the best way, back then, Lord knows I was a LiveWire in high school. However, as time went on I changed that connotation to be a LiveWire for Christ. So I thought it was suiting to name my company after the best descriptive word to describe me.

(I honestly just love that and think that is just so fun! A LiveWire for Christ, doesn’t get any better than that!)

C540E2700B6943B3B54FB0BA61BF8038
(This look is from Megan’s first collection with Greeley Hat Works)

H: What is your favorite part of designing a piece?
M: Creating it. A lot of the time  it’s a puzzle piece and I don’t always know what I’m doing, what pieces go where. The best part is stepping back and seeing it all come together.

H: How would you describe your personal style?
M: It’s a cross between Audrey Hepburn and rock and roll.  I love edgy pieces that push the boundaries paired with speak classical lines and fabrics.

(That is such a great style I love nothing more than a Edgy Audrey style!)

H: What is your favorite go to piece for your personal style?
M: I have a few favs, and they always change. Right now, my favorite go to pieces are my silk Armani and Gucci tops, my LiveWire Bobbie top, the black skinnies from Kimes Ranch Jeans, my evergreen Nine7O  lid from Greeley Hat Works, and my black leather jacket from STS.

1504723619700
(Check out “The Bobbie” one of Megan’s favorites!)

H: What is a funny fashion story?
M: Hmm, Maybe the start of my whole career. It’s all a bit funny and out of sorts. None of it seams practical or logical, my whole life is like a blooper out take real.

(Haha. I love that I think that is what makes your story so great. You just keep going no quit! Just a little LiveWire!)

23167689_1289277354510380_2203063350193958190_n
(Kimes Courture Collection designed by LiveWire)

H: What is a piece of advice you would give someone aspiring to go for their dreams?
M: Don’t quit. Real work, real dedication and real faith is what will get you there. There are many people that want the 40k but aren’t diligent with the 40, be diligent with the here and now, it will grow.

H: What is your favorite scripture?
M: But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. ~Isaiah 40:31

68BEC1E51A694ACD9512352131722B45
(Check out this fun Fedora from the Nine70, Greeley Hat Works Line)

H: Can you tell us a little about the Nine70 Hat line?
M: I love this collection! Trent from Greeley Hat Works actually started Nine7O several years ago, I actually carried the Collection in my store in 2014. I started working with GHW several years ago, however in February I started picking up more responsibilities. Nine7O was a collection Trent envision for several years it just needed a little more attention then he had time for,  so with our two heads together we now have a 12 piece collection for men and women. I’m really passionate about the collection. It’s really apart of my style DNA, I’m so thankful to get to be apart of it.

(That is so awesome! I can not wait to see the whole line and even my new lid! I have seen the preview and it is just ahh-mazing ya’ll ahh-mazing!)

H: I know LiveWire has a fun new feature Rent The Look, can you tell us a little bit about it?
M: Rent the look is an idea that clearly works in the market place. Places like rent the runway have made title waves in shopping and trends with high end items now available to rent. Allowing individuals the option to buy what they love and  rent gowns for special events. Currently we are seeing western in mainstream fashion,  we see designers continue to make Western a part of their staple collection.  I would really love the opportunity to have people who are in western capitalize on western looks, not just in our industry. If fashion forward women are rocking Wranglers in New York with a fringe leather jacket and some boots, I think the look should be sourced from Western designers who know western. Thus, giving that fashion forward woman the best fashion forward look by utilizing real western pieces. Rent The Runway and Stitch Fix are multi- Billion dollar companies. I love the model of the companies, I love fashion and I love western, so I married them together.

H: How or where can one Rent The Look from you?
M: There is a pre-view on my website livewire.style under the Rent The Look tab. However, I am getting new styles in daily and have not kept up with getting them posted, so best way is to make an appointment with me at megan@livewire.style. I will also be available during NFR for appointments, or you can stop in and get styled and/or Rent The Look at one of the booths I will be featured at (Wear Woolies, Kimes Ranch, and Elaine James)

Straight from the wilds of Cody, Wyoming you can order up some pretty fun and fabulous items! There is a new boutique in town and it is beginning to be one of my favorites. The new boutique is only about 4 months and growing strong! I have fallen in love with “Western Glamour” boutique. The owner Danielle has quickly become a dear friend of mine and I love her heart and passion for fashion! She is starting to prep for all those fun and fabulous events coming up! Like the NFR, holiday parties and those days you wanna look fabulous but need to stay warm, WG has got you covered!

The pieces I got to rock from this fabulous boutique, is this fun flannel and chief tee! One thing Danielle works hard to offer is fun clothes for every woman of every size! That you can rock anywhere!

For this outfit I decided to put a fun spin on a piece we see worn so comfortably through out the fall/winter seasons. I just added a little sass on it! Check it out below! But be sure to take a good look at those lashes! 🙂 Western Glamour sells some pretty amazing fake eye lashes to make those eyes of yours do a little extra poppin! Reign Lashes are quit amazing to be honest! Below you will find a link to be able to get your very own!
